SW2™ formula receives EPA registration in USA

February 2022, In Australia, SW2™ is a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) listed hospital-grade disinfectant effective against germs, bacteria, and COVID-19. The novel formulation has been registered by the Environmental Protection Agency under the name Sphinx.

Per the TGA listing, SW2™ prevents avoidable infection by forming a protective coating that makes surfaces hostile to germs. This means that 15 weeks after a single application it is still delivering up to a 98.5% reduction in germs, even with regular cleaning, compared to untreated surfaces that also undergo regular cleaning.

When lab tested in harsh conditions SW2™ lasts. Following simulated cleaning cycles equivalent to 90 days (a combination of dry and chemical abrasions totalling 1,620 contacts) on high touch surfaces such as door handles, SW2™ was still delivering a 99.9% reduction against bacteria and COVID-19.

While traditional disinfectants only provide momentary protection against germs, SW2™, exclusively distributed by Allied BioServices in Australia, ensures safe and hygienic spaces, which enable you to revert to pre-COVID cleaning protocols and reduce waste.

“Here in Australia, we achieved TGA registration in 2020, and SW2™ remains the only product on the market that sustains 105-day residual efficacy,” said Allied BioServices’ CEO Tim Smith.

“It’s great to see that the SW2™ formulation has achieved EPA registration in the USA.”
